Job summary

SYNCTIV RECRUITMENT is seeking a Medior .NET Developer to join a Brussels-based hybrid Web Team undergoing a digital transformation. You will work with ASP.NET MVC, C#, and .NET Core to build scalable web platforms and APIs, collaborating with UI/UX designers and integration teams.

You bring at least 5 years of experience, strong knowledge of the .NET ecosystem, and a track record of delivering robust, secure code. CMS experience is a plus, and a hybrid on-site schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC, C#, and .NET web development.
• Strong knowledge of Web API, RESTful services, and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with EF Core or other ORM frameworks.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS/SCSS; CMS exposure a plus (Sitecore, Umbraco, Optimizely, Episerver).

Responsibilities

• Develop robust web applications, APIs, and reusable components using the .NET ecosystem.
• Improve frontend and backend performance, ensuring stability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and integration teams to deliver real-time data flows.
• Translate requirements into clean, scalable code and contribute to quality through tests and CI/CD.
• Mentor junior developers and uphold coding standards.

Location : Brussels, hybrid (2-3 days/week onsite)

About the Role

For our client, we are looking for a Medior .NET Developer, with a background in C#, ASP.NET MVC and .NET Core., to strengthen their Web Team undergoing a digital transformation.

With at least 5 years of experience, you have a strong command of the .NET ecosystem and a proven track record of building scalable, reliable, and user-focused web platforms.

Your expertise in web development, API integration, scripting languages, and modern engineering practices will help deliver high-quality digital experiences. Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

As a Medior ASP.NET MVC C# /.NET Developer, you will:

• Develop robust web applications, APIs, and reusable web components using the .NET ecosystem.
• Improve and monitor frontend and backend performance, ensuring stability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, architects, and integration teams to deliver seamless, real-time data flows.
• Translate technical requirements into clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Contribute to coding standards, development best practices, and technical quality.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Help improve security, maintainability, and overall application quality.
• Stay up to date with the latest .NET technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
• Communicate progress, identify risks, and proactively solve technical challenges.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with ASP.NET MVC, C#, and .NET web development.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Web API
• RESTful Services
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core (EF Core) or other ORM frameworks.
• Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS/SCSS.
• Experience with CMS platforms is a plus (e.g. Sitecore, Umbraco, Optimizely, Episerver).

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and modern development principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Ways of Working

• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Communication

• Fluent in English and French OR Dutch.
