Job summary

WLG is seeking a seasoned security professional to relocate to the United States (Norfolk, VA) on a full-time contract via our delivery partner. You will analyse travel risk, develop security plans and deliver briefings for staff on duty travel and high-profile events in line with organisational policy.

The role requires five+ years in security, strong risk management capabilities, and fluency in professional English.

Qualifications

• At least five years in security administration, risk management, criminology, public administration or industrial security.
• Experience planning and executing security operations for high-profile events or international travel.
• Certification in risk management or security (e.g., PMP, CRMP) or related qualification is an asset.
• Ability to collect, analyse and interpret security data from open sources and other reporting.
• Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to local authorities.
• Proficiency with office tools, security databases and OSINT research.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsibilities

• Analysing travel databases to identify high-risk destinations and critical locations for staff on duty travel.
• Collecting and analysing security information from open sources, classified reporting and local advisories to assess risk ahead of travel.
• Giving travellers comprehensive security briefings — protocols, local risks and tailored mitigation.
• Developing security plans for high-risk events and missions in line with organisational policy.
• Running risk assessments and security audits, and leading site surveys to find vulnerabilities at planned venues.
• Examining attendee lists for non-member participants and evaluating the counter-intelligence risk.
• Preparing security briefs for senior approval, and being present at venues during events to oversee registration and check-in.
• Coordinating security for high-profile events with local authorities and partner agencies — logistics and emergency response.
• Writing after-action reports and turning them into lessons and historical security records.
• Briefing internal stakeholders on security requirements, risk management and priorities.
