📣 A bit about the role

Since we are growing rapidly in Belgium, we are now looking for our first National Sales Manager Belgium to lead our Direct Sales operations across both Flanders and Wallonia. This is a full-time hybrid role, based in Brussels.

You’ll oversee a team of 4 full-time managers - each leading either Events or Direct Sales in their region, plus around 25 Brand Ambassadors. Together, you’ll deliver ~400 events a year and drive new customer acquisitions.

You’ll be the most senior team member in our Belgian office, shaping a high-performing, motivated and fun culture. You'll be a key connector between the local Belgium team and the Benelux office in Amsterdam. You'll also regularly meet with other international stakeholders in the UK, DE, PL and other countries.

In this role, you will:

  • Spend your first month in the field selling to master the sales cycle and earn your team’s respect, after that step in for major events while Direct Sales managers lead day to day
  • Lead, coach and develop 4 direct reports (Event Managers & Direct Sales Managers for FL and WAL)
  • Organise team training days with your managers
  • Analyse weekly performance and implement actions to improve KPIs
  • Set and execute Belgium’s Direct Sales strategy
  • Manage and scale new channels (e.g. door-to-door sales, lead calling)
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales Benelux and the BNLX leadership team
  • Be a confident budget owner with strong analytical skills, driving the delivery of Direct Sales Belgium targets by keeping your team focused on the right actions and initiatives both short and long term
  • Foster a winning team atmosphere and culture

Must-haves:

  • Professional proficiency in English and French
  • Biased towards taking action, a can-do mindset, competitive spirit and target driven
  • 4+ years’ B2C or (fast-paced) B2B sales experience
  • Management experience of multiple full-timers
  • Passion for sales and people, a team player who thrives in a fast-paced and people driven channel
  • Confident budget owner who can create a strong commercial strategy and forecast, using strong analytical skills
  • Skilled communicator and presenter, can inspire and work with different personalities
  • Organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively, for you and your team
  • Love dogs and know how to connect with dog-loving audiences
  • Valid working rights in Belgium

Nice-to-haves:

  • Direct Sales or experience with organising or attending events in Belgium
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Track record in launching or scaling new sales channels
  • Fluency in Flemish

  • Gross annual salary + commission + 13th month + holiday allowance: your annual gross On Target Earnings (incl. all allowances) would equate to roughly 63-75.000 euros
