Waterleau, based at Haacht (Wespelaar), Belgium, seeks a Mobile Operator for Europe to support and manage SLAs across the European Business Unit. You will monitor wastewater plants, ensure safe, efficient operation, and serve as the key operational link between our clients, technology and the environment.

This hands-on role requires a solid foundation in mechanics, electricity and instrumentation, plus experience in industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in mechanics, electricity, and instrumentation.
• Experience in (automated) production or industrial environments.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with on-site adaptability.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and French are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Monitor daily wastewater plant operations for top-quality performance.
• Perform regular equipment checks and preventive maintenance.
• Act as the first point of contact for customers and coordinate issues.
• Respond to breakdowns and spills to minimize environmental impact.
• Install, calibrate, and relocate mobile treatment units as needed.
• Collect water samples and document all results accurately.

Your Role: Mobile Operator – Europe

Based from our headquarters in Haacht (Wespelaar, Belgium), you’ll be part of our Optimization & Operations (O&O) division, supporting and managing service-level agreements (SLAs) across our European Business Unit. Your work will ensure that wastewater treatment plants run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental standards.

You’ll be the key operational link between our clients, technology, and the planet — helping to deliver reliable, high-quality service wherever it’s needed.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor daily operations of wastewater treatment plants to ensure top‑quality performance.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and preventive maintenance to keep systems running optimally.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth communication and fast issue resolution.
• Respond swiftly to breakdowns, spills, or system failures to minimize environmental impact.
• Clean, calibrate, and maintain sensors and instruments for accurate measurements.
• Install, dismantle, and relocate mobile treatment units as projects require.
• Collect and test water samples, documenting and reporting all results accurately.

What You Bring

• A strong foundation in mechanics, electricity, and instrumentation.
• Experience in (automated) production or industrial environments.
• A proactive, hands‑on mindset and the flexibility to adapt to different on‑site situations.
• Strong communication skills — fluent in English; Dutch and French are a plus.
• A responsible and solution‑oriented attitude, whether working independently or in a team.
• A readiness to travel and be on standby when project needs arise.
• Experience in the water industry is a plus — but a genuine passion for sustainability is essential.
