PCA Water in Aalst, Belgium, seeks a Junior Service Technician to support an experienced colleague on-site and learn the practical ins and outs of the job step by step.

You will mainly work at customer sites in Flanders with occasional travel to the Netherlands, Wallonia, the UK or France, focusing on monitoring installations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; attitude matters.
• Fluent communication in French and English is required.
• Able to work on-site with customers across locations.
• Willing to travel occasionally within Europe.
• Basic chemistry knowledge is helpful given process-based installations.

Responsabilités

• Assist an experienced technician with on-site technical work and learn as you go.
• Carry out a range of technical tasks with care and accuracy.
• Mostly work on-site at customers’ premises (Flanders; occasional travel to NL, Wallonia, UK, France).
• Support monitoring installations and, when needed, perform maintenance.

About this role

To strengthen our team in Aalst, we are looking for a Junior Service Technician. You will work closely with an experienced colleague who will mentor you and teach you the practical ins and outs of the job step by step. You will support them in a wide range of tasks, with a focus on teamwork and knowledge-sharing. Depending on your talents, commitment and ambitions, you will be given every opportunity to develop further and progress within our organisation.

Your Responsibilities

• You will support an experienced technician with technical work on site, learning along the way so that you can eventually work independently.
• You’ll work meticulously and help carry out various technical tasks.
• You will mainly work on-site at customers’ premises. (Primarily in Flanders and occasionally in the Netherlands, Wallonia, the UK or France)
• The role involves a combination of monitoring installations and, occasionally, carrying out maintenance on them.

• A basic knowledge of chemistry is an asset, as our installations are often based on chemical processes.
• You’re a real go-getter and enjoy rolling up your sleeves.
• You work independently, take the initiative and think in a solution-oriented way.
• You have a positive attitude to work and a strong sense of responsibility.
• You work well both as part of a team and independently.
• You communicate fluently and professionally with customers.
• You work accurately and have an eye for quality.
• You hold a Category B driving licence.
• You can communicate effectively in French and English.
