constellr GmbH in Brussels seeks a Mission Control Engineer to operate and scale our Earth Observation satellite constellation. You will monitor, control, and optimize spacecraft performance and collaborate with Flight Operations, Flight Dynamics, Payload, Software, Data, and Product teams.

This role offers prospects to build mission control systems from the ground up in a fast-paced startup environment, with impact on data reliability and availability to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field is required.
• 2–3+ years in satellite/spacecraft operations or ground segment/Mission Control development.
• Solid understanding of spacecraft subsystems (AOCS, power, thermal, comms).
• Experience with telemetry analysis, command systems, and operational procedures.

Responsabilités

• Build mission planning services and algorithms for a growing satellite constellation.
• Shape architecture of mission planning systems for scalability and reliability.
• Run and maintain mission planning systems in live production environments.
• Define engineering standards for CI/CD, IaC, observability, safety, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations, Flight Dynamics, Payload, and Product teams to translate needs into design.
• Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines and robust deployment practices across critical systems.
• Translate mission requests into executable satellite telecommands and manage the telecommand database.
• Align mission plans with onboard scheduling and execution constraints.
