LGM is seeking an experienced Director / Senior Manager – Mining Operations to lead an integrated DSO iron ore mining operation in Cameroon. You will oversee contractor-led activities and ensure safe, cost-efficient delivery of production targets across the mine-to-port value chain.

The role requires 15+ years in mining, open-pit leadership, and strong contract management, with English fluency and French a plus. Location is Cameroon and reports to senior governance teams.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in open-pit mining operations.
• Strong track record in safety, environmental stewardship, and ESG.
• Experience managing mining contractors and contract compliance.
• Ability to drive cost control and operational efficiency.
• Excellent decision-making and stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Lead mining, processing, haulage, and stockpiling with contract partners.
• Ensure production, cost, quality, and safety targets are met.
• Manage contractor performance and KPI delivery.
• Oversee mine planning, grade control, and production reporting.
• Promote HSE/ESG excellence and governance across interfaces.
