Job summary

Pauwels Consulting in Brussels seeks a Migration Analyst to join the Data & Analytics team. You will translate complex reporting needs into scalable architectures using SAP BW/4HANA, Azure Synapse, and Power BI, and steer migration roadmaps between business and IT.

You will coordinate onshore and offshore teams, design functional specs, and manage testing and data cleaning to ensure high-quality data integration.

Our client, a major organization in the transport and infrastructure sector, is looking for a Migration Analyst to join their Data & Analytics team. The role focuses on analyzing, optimizing, and migrating reporting solutions while bridging the gap between business departments and IT through a functional and coordinating lead role.

• Translate complex business reporting needs into future-proof solution architectures using SAP BW/4HANA, Azure Synapse, and Power BI.
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and IT to drive migration planning and project roadmaps.
• Lead onshore and offshore development teams during migration trajectories to ensure technical delivery aligns with functional requirements.
• Design and document functional specifications, solution architectures, and end-to-end business processes.
• Execute and manage test scenarios, functional testing, and data cleaning activities to ensure high-quality data integration.

• 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Application Owner, or Project Manager within BI and reporting environments.
• 5+ years of experience with SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Embedded Analytics, and Analysis for Office (AFO).
• Proven experience in migration projects from SAP BW to SAP BW/4HANA or Azure BI solutions.
• Experience with data visualization and cloud data platforms using Microsoft Power BI, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban using JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong experience in stakeholder management across both departmental and executive levels.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead onshore and offshore development resources.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with at least B2 level in the second language and English.

• In-depth knowledge of Azure Enterprise BI architecture and associated services.
