Community Consulting seeks an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer in Brussels to design, secure and govern SharePoint Online workloads, and to support recovery and cyber-resilience across Microsoft 365 services. The role emphasizes secure configuration, operational continuity and governance rather than routine tenant administration.

Candidate must have advanced SharePoint Online administration, strong Microsoft 365 experience and PowerShell expertise, with English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement SharePoint Online information architecture, including sites, hubs, permissions, external sharing, content types and governance.
• Improve cyber-resilience across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online and OneDrive.
• Implement security hardening, privileged access controls, backup and restore processes, ransomware readiness and recovery runbooks.
• Configure Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, guest access and application consent.
• Administer Microsoft Intune compliance policies, configuration profiles and device compliance signals used in Conditional Access.
• Support Microsoft Purview information protection, including sensitivity labels, DLP and retention policies.
• Automate administration, inventory and security operations using PowerShell.
• Support Microsoft 365 security incident response and workload recovery.
• Document current and target architectures, technical standards, operating procedures and handover materials.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure and business stakeholders to reduce collaboration and data-sharing risks.

As part of its organisational and digital transformation, a Brussels-based public sector organisation is strengthening its Microsoft 365 environment to improve collaboration, operational efficiency and security. We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer with strong SharePoint Online expertise to design, secure, govern and support the recovery of collaboration workloads. The mission focuses on cyber-resilience, secure configuration and operational continuity rather than standard L1/L2 tenant administration.

Responsibilities

Design and implement SharePoint Online information architecture, including sites, hubs, permissions, external sharing, content types and governance.

Improve cyber-resilience across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online and OneDrive.

Implement security hardening, privileged access controls, backup and restore processes, ransomware readiness and recovery runbooks.

Configure Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, guest access and application consent.

Technical skills

Must have

Minimum 4 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 experience.

Advanced practical SharePoint Online administration, architecture and governance expertise.

Experience across Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint Online.

Strong understanding of least privilege, external sharing, guest access, privileged roles and data leakage risks.

Confirmed Microsoft Intune experience with device compliance, configuration profiles and Conditional Access integration.

Confirmed PowerShell expertise for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID and Intune.

Participation in at least one cyber-resilience, tenant-hardening, backup and restore, information-protection or incident-recovery programme.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview information protection, including sensitivity labels, DLP and retention, at minimum Junior/Confirmed level.

Professional working proficiency in English.

Should have

Experience implementing and documenting practical Microsoft 365 governance and recovery procedures.

Strong ability to work with security, infrastructure and business stakeholders.

Experience with Microsoft 365 backup and restore tooling, including native or third-party solutions.

Experience conducting and validating recovery drills.

Nice to have

Dutch language proficiency.

Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud Apps or Microsoft Sentinel integrations.

Basic Power Platform experience, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps in SharePoint environments.

Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, SC-400, MS-500 or equivalent practical experience.
