Job summary

Imec in Leuven, Belgium, seeks a Process Assistant for its Metrology team to work hands-on with semiconductor machines in a 24/7 cleanroom. You’ll help keep tools running, improve processes, and ensure smooth operation across production, process development and device teams.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, set up and adjust tool recipes, perform testing and calibration, dive into data for improvements, and share knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in chemistry, physics, electronics, electromechanics or related industrial field.
• Willing to learn, self-organized, and able to adapt to project needs.
• Good sense of urgency and reliable work ethic.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep the fab running
• Ensure inspection & metrology tools are ready every day
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to fix issues quickly
• Identify problems early and take preventive actions
• Improve workflows and make processes smarter
• Work with high-tech tools and set up tool recipes
• Assist testing, calibration and quality checks
• Analyze data to find improvement opportunities
• Learn on the job and share knowledge with new colleagues
