Job summary

Quento Technologies, the ICT arm of the Qualco Group, seeks a highly motivated Mendix Developer for an on-site role in Belgium. You will translate business requirements into Mendix applications, build integrations, and contribute to reusable components while applying secure-by-design principles.

You should have at least 5 years in IT software development with 3+ years on Mendix, Java/JavaScript experience, and an English level of C1 or higher. French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in IT software development with Mendix experience
• Mendix Advanced Developer Certification
• Proven Mendix production delivery (2+ apps)
• Mendix 10 or later experience
• Java and JavaScript knowledge for custom actions
• Experience with Scrum or Agile delivery
• Full lifecycle contribution across design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance
• Mendix Expert Certification is a plus
• Experience with EU institutions/Public Admin is a plus
• English at C1 level; French a plus

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements and user stories into Mendix applications including domain models, microflows, pages, and security roles.
• Develop integrations with internal and external systems via APIs, connectors, and SSO (SAML/OIDC).
• Design and maintain reusable modules, widgets, and components, contributing to shared libraries and standards.
• Apply secure-by-design principles, RBAC and data protection throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop UI compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Write and maintain unit and automated tests, participate in code reviews, use Mendix quality tools to manage technical debt.
• Contribute to deployment, release management, and production support.
• Produce technical documentation covering design, development, deployment and support processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and anti-bribery/corruption policy

• Write and maintain unit and automated tests, participate in code reviews, and leverage Mendix quality tools to ensure code quality and manage technical debt.
• Contribute to application deployment, release management, and third-level support activities for production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline; alternatively, equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT software development, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Mendix platform.
• Holder of a Mendix Advanced Developer Certification.
• Proven track record in delivering at least two Mendix applications to production, including integration with enterprise systems.
• Experience with Mendix 10 or later, including deployments in on-premises and/or private cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of Java and JavaScript for the development of custom actions, widgets, and platform extensions.
• Experience working within Scrum or other Agile software delivery frameworks.
• Ability to contribute across the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Mendix-based solutions.
• Mendix Expert Certification will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience within EU Institutions, Agencies, or Public Administration organisations, as well as exposure to Mendix AI capabilities (e.g., Maia, GenAI connectors), will be considered an asset.
• Excellent command of English (C1 level or higher); knowledge of French is an advantage.
