REAZN in Kruisem, Belgium, is hiring a Melting and Casting Supervisor to lead the production area within a 5-shift system. You will manage Team Leaders and Operators, ensure safety, discipline, and performance, and coordinate closely with planning and support departments.

The role blends hands-on shop-floor leadership with administrative duties, training, and continuous improvement, requiring fluent French and English, a coaching mindset, and strong organisational skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or people management role in an industrial environment.
Experience in shift-based operations is a strong asset.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Fluent in French & English; Dutch is a plus.
Hands-on mentality and presence on the shop floor for 5S and activities.

Responsabilités

Ensures clear communication, role clarity, and team discipline.
Supports Team Leaders in daily decision‑making and problem‑solving.
Manages replacements, shifts changes, and ensures staffing continuity.
Aligns daily with the planner who manages the production process flow and optimises the 5-shift structure.
Drives improvement actions related to efficiency, safety, and team performance.

As the Melting and Casting Supervisor, you ensure the smooth daily operation of the production area by leading teams, maintaining structure within the 5-shift system, and safeguarding discipline, safety, skills development, and operational continuity. Your role combines people leadership, shop-floor presence, process follow‑up, and close coordination with planning and support departments.

Reports to: Operations Manager
Leads: Team Leaders / Operators within the 5-shift system
Works closely with: Planning, Maintenance, QHSE and HR

What will be your responsibilities?

1. People Management & Leadership

Conducts one‑on‑one meetings with each Team Leader to align expectations, performance, and development.
Ensures clear communication, role clarity, and team discipline.
Supports Team Leaders in daily decision‑making and problem‑solving.
Manages replacements, shifts changes, and ensures staffing continuity.

2. Operational Follow‑up in the Production Area

Ensures smooth organisation of the production zones.
Monitors adherence to work instructions, safety rules, and quality standards.
Guarantees 5S, order, and cleanliness across all workstations.

3. Training, Skills & Onboarding

Manages and updates the skills matrix
Follows up on training needs, mandatory certifications, and skill progression.
Ensures structured onboarding and follow‑up for new employees.
Coordinates with HR for training planning and documentation.

4. Time & Administration

Follows up on time registration, anomalies, and corrections.
Approves and monitors leave requests, ensuring shift coverage.
Ensures correct documentation of incidents, training, and evaluations.

5. Planning & Cross‑Functional Alignment

Aligns daily with the planner who manages the production process flow.
Ensures the 5-shift structure is respected and optimised.
Communicates operational priorities to Team Leaders and operators.

6. Continuous Improvement

Drives improvement actions related to efficiency, safety, and team performance.
Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives and encourages TLs and operator involvement.
Ensures sustainability of implemented improvements.

What do we expect from you?

Technical & Operational Skills

Strong understanding of industrial production processes (preferably recycling or metals).
Knowledge of 5S, safety standards, and shop-floor organisation.
Experience with time registration systems and shift planning.
Ability to manage and update a skills matrix.

Leadership & Soft Skills

Strong people management skills with a coaching mindset.
Clear communicator with the ability to set boundaries and expectations.
Structured, disciplined, and solution‑oriented.
Able to manage conflict and maintain team stability.

Profile Requirements :

Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or people management role in an industrial environment.
