IQVIA MedTech is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install hardware for automated medication dispensing systems in healthcare facilities. You will collaborate with engineers and healthcare professionals to configure devices and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires travel across local, regional, and national levels, with per-diem assignments and flexible hours. Prior electronics, hardware, software, or mechanical experience and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year related electronics, hardware, software or mechanical experience.
• Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work with design engineers, project managers & healthcare personnel to identify equipment layout, operations, and workflow.

Our MedTech Field Service Engineer or Technicians experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology.

You will be responsible for installing hardware for automated medication dispensing systems within healthcare facilities throughout the United States. This position requires you to travel 100% locally, regionally, and nationally. Due to the travel, the role requires open availability Monday through Friday. Work is assignment based, with a typical week including 16-30 hours worked, plus travel time.

Job Responsibilities:

• Organizing, testing, and assembling automated medication dispensing systems; all tasks revolve around installing and configuring hardware, software and mechanical medical devices.
• Review of schematics / drawings, documentation, and logistics to support installation activities.
• Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with quality compliance requirements.
• Partner with a team of support staff, manage project timelines and customer needs.
• Training for this role will be provided and is paid

Schedule:

Per-diem, assignment-based position requiring travel and open flexibility.

Required Qualifications:

• Certificat d'Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur (CESS) in French-speaking communities, or the Getuigschrift van Hoger Secundair Onderwijs in Dutch-speaking Flanders is required
• Minimum 1 year related electronics, hardware, software or mechanical experience required.
• English and Dutch/French is required depending on the regional need
• Professional business acumen and communication skills required.
• Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating systems.
• Ability to work with design engineers, project managers & healthcare personnel to identify equipment layout, operations, and workflow required.
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status, required.
• Position may/will require up to date immunizations.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds required.

Travel Requirement:

• An active and unrestricted driver's license is required.
• Will have a personal vehicle and willing to use it for job related assignments.
• Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally weekly to support customer needs required.
• Needs to be located within 30 miles of a major airport.
• Travel, and your time traveling is paid, as is mileage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military veterans with experience in electronics related MOS are encouraged to apply!
• Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.
