Group-IPS is hiring a Mechanical Package Owner in Belgium. You will lead the technical coordination and delivery of mechanical packages from design to final handover, acting as the main technical contact for assigned packages and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Join an international group delivering EPCM expertise across multiple countries, with a focus on safety and high-quality project execution.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical, electromechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial and/or construction as mechanical engineer.
• Experience coordinating mechanical work with other engineering disciplines, suppliers and contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to travel to project and client sites, with a valid driving license.

Responsabilités

• Take full ownership of the assigned mechanical package from concept design through procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover.
• Prepare and review mechanical specifications, equipment datasheets, P&IDs, layouts, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Perform or review equipment sizing, pressure-drop calculations, material selection and technical evaluations.
• Prepare technical RFQ documentation and participate in evaluating suppliers’ proposals.
• Review vendor drawings and follow up on technical comments and actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor progress, schedule, quality, risks and changes related to the package.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, standards and safety requirements.
• Support construction teams and help resolve technical issues during installation.
• Attend inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover activities.
