Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical systems for aerospace and defence applications. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.

You will design components using CATIA/CREO, perform fluid dynamics analyses, and contribute to documentation and design reviews throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with CATIA and/or CREO in a professional setting.

YOUR ROLE

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design and development of mechanical systems and components for aerospace and defence applications, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and reliable engineering solutions.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies using CATIA and/or CREO, ensuring compliance with aerospace and defence standards and specifications
• Performing fluid dynamics and aerodynamics analyses to support the design and optimisation of mechanical systems, contributing to the overall performance and reliability of the products
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including systems, electronics, and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical solutions within complex product architectures
• Supporting the preparation and review of technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and test plans, ensuring accuracy and traceability throughout the product development lifecycle
• Participating in design reviews and technical meetings, bringing your analytical mindset and engineering judgment to contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes

YOUR PROFILE

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you are a motivated and curious engineering professional, eager to develop your expertise in mechanical design and analysis within the demanding and exciting world of aerospace and defence.

• You have 1-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• You hold an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, and are looking to build your career in aerospace and defence, ideally with a first experience or academic exposure to mechanical design projects
• You have hands‑on experience or strong academic knowledge of CATIA and/or CREO, and are comfortable working with 3D modelling and design tools in a professional engineering environment
• You have a solid understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamics, with the ability to apply these principles to the design and analysis of mechanical systems and components
• You are rigorous, analytical, and detail‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• You are professionally proficient in both French and English (mandatory), with strong written and verbal communication skills, and bring a proactive and enthusiastic attitude to your work
