Verhaert On-Site Consulting in Belgium (Waals-Brabant) is seeking a hands-on mechanical design engineer to architect advanced assemblies, integrating optical, thermal, and structural constraints from the outset. You will prototype, document, and iterate with cross-functional teams to realize robust concepts.

Responsibilities include tight tolerances, cleanroom integration, supplier collaboration, and continuous improvement to balance performance, cost, and deadlines.

• Must have hands-on ability to turn 3D models into real-world systems through integration and testing.

Responsabilités

• Design and Engineering: Architect advanced mechanical assemblies, integrating optical, thermal, and structural constraints from the start.
• Prototyping & Documentation: Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and thorough technical reports (BOMs, calculations, design rationale).
• Precision & Quality: Define tight tolerances and functional dimensions for reliability and manufacturability.
• Hands-on Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assemble, test, and troubleshoot prototypes including cleanroom testing.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with suppliers on custom parts, specifications, and quotes.
• Continuous Improvement: Optimize mechanical solutions to balance peak performance, cost, and deadlines.
