Job summary

SII Group Belgium is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, working on Aeronautic, Space & Defense projects. You will contribute to the design and maturation of mechanical systems using CAD tools and FEM analyses.

You will collaborate across international teams, report in English, and engage with suppliers. A Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and strong CAD skills are required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and CAD.
• Experience with CAD, FMEA, strength calculations and FEM.
• CREO or CATIA proficiency.
• Experience with compliance demonstration and/or certification preferred.
• Communication in French, English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing and detailing concepts by hand calculations and/or FEM.
• Designing and developing and further developing existing systems; such as brake systems, steering systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and suspension.
• Proposing and generating design substantiation (analyses and/or complex test setups).
• Reporting of compliance demonstration in English.
• Contact with suppliers.

• Excellent CREO or Catia skills;
• Experience in compliance demonstration and/or certification is preferred.
• Communication in French, English is a plus.
