SII Belgium seeks a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You will design mechanical systems and develop innovative solutions for clients primarily in aerospace & defense, applying engineering principles to deliver robust products.

Key responsibilities include hand calculations and FEM, designing and developing brake, steering, hydraulics, pneumatics and suspension, and reporting compliance demonstrations in English. Collaboration with suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of experience as Mechanical Engineer.
• Experience with CAD, FMEA, strength calculations and FEM.
• Excellent Creo, SOLIDWORKS or CATIA skills.
• Experience in compliance demonstration and/or certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop concepts by hand calculations and/or FEM.
• Design and develop existing systems such as brake, steering, hydraulics, pneumatics and suspension.
• Propose and generate design substantiation (analyses and/or complex test setups).
• Report compliance demonstrations in English.
• Maintain contact with suppliers.

SII Belgium is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems, products, or devices and apply engineering principles and techniques to develop innovative and functional mechanical solutions for our clients mostly in the aerospace & defense sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and detailing of concepts by hand calculations and/or FEM;
• Designing and developing and further developing existing systems; such as brake systems, steering systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and suspension;
• Proposing and generating design substantiation (analyses and/or complex test setups);
• Reporting of compliance demonstration in English;
• Contact with suppliers.

Requirements

• You have a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or Aviation/Aerospace design or similar technical expertise;
• 2 years of experience as Mechanical Engineer
• Experience with CAD, FMEA, strength calculations and FEM;
• Excellent Creo, SOLIDWORKS or CATIA skills;
• Experience in compliance demonstration and/or certification is preferred.
• Strong written communication skills in French. English and Dutch is an asset.
