SABCA Limburg, at our Lummen site, specializes in high-tech composite assemblies for aircraft and space systems. A Manufacturing Engineer will be the internal expert across production processes and will help ensure on-time delivery, cost reduction, and quality improvements.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and fluency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of EN9100/ISO14001 and CAD tools like Catia/AutoCAD is valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering with relevant specialization.
• 3+ years in production, engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in aerospace or aviation is a strong plus.

Responsabilités

• Act as the point of contact for production processes related to composite parts.
• Support operational departments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Apply problem-solving methods to eliminate quality issues and optimize process efficiency.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Introduce and monitor process control to improve cost and quality.
• Implement and maintain 5S and visual management on the production floor.
• Develop and implement work instructions.
• Ensure alignment with EN9100 and ISO 14001 standards.

At our Lummen site, SABCA Limburg, we are specialized in the manufacturing of high-tech composite assemblies for aircraft. On the one hand, we produce integrated

skins for flaps and stabilizers using two automatic tape-layers and very large autoclaves and of course, our colleagues’ extended know-how. In cooperation with the

Engineering office in Brussels, SABCA Limburg is also responsible for the flap track fairings of several aircraft.

On the other hand, the Space industry is also present in this plant with the final system integration of Ariane and Vega assemblies.

Mission:

At SABCA Limburg, we are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be the internal expert for various production processes across our entire plant. Your mission is to support the operational departments in ensuring on-time delivery to customers, improving processes, and maintaining high-quality standards while reducing operational costs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact for various production processes related to the manufacturing of composite parts.
• Actively support operational departments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Apply problem-solving methods to eliminate quality issues and optimize process efficiency.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Introduce, monitor, and maintain process control to improve cost and quality.
• Implement and maintain visual management on the production floor.
• Improve and implement 5S practices.
• Develop and implement work instructions.
• Assess, evaluate, and implement changes in engineering definitions and specification requirements.
• Maintain and update internal procedures and instructions.
• Take responsibility at their level regarding the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard.

Profile

Education

• Master’s degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering (specialization in Electromechanics, Mechanics, Materials, Aerospace, or a related field).

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in production, engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
• Background in aerospace or aviation is a strong plus.
• Experience with composite materials and composite manufacturing processes is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, visual management, flow, and value stream mapping is a plus.
• Familiarity with APQP/PPAP processes is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented and results-driven.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of EN9100 quality standards and ISO 14001 environmental standards.
• Basic experience with CAD software, preferably Catia and AutoCAD.
