Job summary

Leggett Dynamics in Belgium is seeking a Maintenance Technician (m/f/d) to join our Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance team supporting our automotive business. You will ensure reliability, safety, and performance of manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure to keep production running smoothly.

You will lead preventive maintenance, drive continuous improvement, support new equipment deployment, and comply with EHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Completed technical training as an Electrician, Mechanical Technician, Mechatronics Technician, or a comparable technical qualification
• Approximately 2-3 years of professional experience within your technical discipline, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and maintenance best practices
• Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing methodologies, such as TPM, SMED, or similar continuous improvement approaches
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Conversational Dutch and French language skills
• Day shift during training period (typically 6-12 months)
• Transition to a permanent night shift role upon completion of training

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum equipment uptime through expert troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing and facility systems
• Deliver proactive maintenance solutions by executing and continuously improving preventive maintenance programs
• Identify and implement reliability improvements that reduce downtime and increase operational performance
• Support the successful deployment of new manufacturing equipment from development through installation and commissioning
• Drive continuous improvement projects that enhance equipment efficiency, safety, and productivity
• Maintain full compliance with legal, regulatory, and EHS requirements for all equipment and facility modifications
• Contribute to business resilience by providing cross-functional backup support and deputy coverage when required
