Beaver Migration and Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance & Breakdown Technician to keep production machinery running safely and efficiently in Belgium. The role involves diagnosing breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance and supporting improvements to equipment reliability.

You will work alongside technicians and production teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment, applying mechanical, electrical and pneumatic knowledge to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Requires technical qualification in Mechanics, Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Maintenance & Breakdown Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping production machinery, equipment and technical installations operating safely and efficiently.

You'll be responsible for identifying and resolving technical breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting improvements that increase equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.

Working alongside fellow technicians and production teams, you'll have the opportunity to apply your mechanical and electrical knowledge in a practical, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and pneumatic breakdowns
• Performing maintenance and repairs on production machinery and technical installations
• Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures
• Identifying technical problems and implementing effective solutions
• Supporting improvements to machine performance and production efficiency
• Collaborating with fellow technicians on technical projects and process improvements
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting technical issues
• Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with workplace safety standards
• Working closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency

We're Looking For:

• A technical qualification in Mechanics, Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience
• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial production machinery
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to work independently and take responsibility for technical repairs
• A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
• Strong awareness of workplace safety, order and cleanliness
• Willingness to work in a two-shift or three-shift system
• A willingness to learn, adapt and develop technical skills

Relevant Industry Experience

Candidates with practical maintenance experience in the following environments are encouraged to apply:

• Mechanical and electromechanical maintenance
• Industrial breakdown and preventive maintenance

We are particularly interested in technicians who enjoy hands-on maintenance work and can independently identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Language Requirements

• Good command of Dutch or Afrikaans
• Basic English communication skills are advantageous

• Competitive Salary: Starting from €20 gross per hour, depending on experience and skills
