Job summary

Michael Page Belgium is recruiting for a Portfolio Manager to oversee a Luxembourg-based SuperManCo's investments. You will manage lifecycle execution, assess opportunities, and coordinate legal, tax and commercial workstreams with a senior team across Europe.

The role demands strong governance, reporting discipline, and the ability to engage institutional investors in English and German. A permanent Luxembourg position is offered with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience in Private Equity or fund management.
• Strong understanding of investment structures and portfolio oversight.
• Knowledge of Luxembourg funds industry and regulatory environment.
• Experience with local and international fund structures.
• Ability to evaluate investment strategies and engage with investment advisers.
• Exposure to legal, tax and governance due diligence.
• Strong interpersonal skills with institutional investors and senior stakeholders.
• Structured, detail-oriented and self-driven approach.
• Fluent German and excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Managing the execution and oversight of fund investments throughout their lifecycle.
• Assessing and challenging investment opportunities, strategies and manager recommendations.
• Coordinating legal, tax and commercial workstreams linked to new and existing investments.
• Reviewing legal documentation and negotiating fund-related agreements where necessary.
• Monitoring a portfolio of approximately 100 underlying investments and identifying key developments.
• Supporting governance processes through the preparation of investment memoranda and committee materials.
• Ensuring accurate reporting and financial oversight of the investment portfolio.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, advisers and internal stakeholders.
• Assisting with the development and oversight of wider alternative investment activities.
