Nazareth School is seeking a Learning Support Director to lead and coordinate programs for students with diverse learning needs. The role involves collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and specialists to ensure access to quality education and to promote academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth.

The position requires a master’s degree (preferred), knowledge of IDEA, and experience in teaching.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred and teaching credential in progress toward a clear credential.
• Knowledge of IDEA and accommodations for diverse learners.
• Background in educational methods and learning differences for planning ILPs.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and coordinate programs to support students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify students needing support and develop ILPs.
• Provide guidance on instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications.
• Coordinate accommodations and support services, including assistive tech and testing time.
• Advocate for students with learning differences within the school community.
• Conduct assessments to inform planning and decision making.
• Communicate student progress with parents and offer at-home resources.
• Work with support staff to address social, emotional needs of students.
• Stay current on best practices and legal requirements for special education.
• Foster inclusion, diversity, and respect; supervise students as needed.
