team.blue is seeking an experienced Data Science Lead to join our Data & Analytics team. You will guide a small team while remaining hands-on, shaping the data strategy and delivering impactful models that drive business decisions across Europe.

Collaborating with product managers, engineers and business leaders, you will translate complex datasets into clear recommendations, set priorities for the team, and mentor colleagues to grow their technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years in data science with 3+ years in a lead/people-manager role.
• Proven leadership in hiring, coaching and growing data science teams.
• Hands-on credibility with production-quality code and reviews.
• Strong stakeholder management and business alignment.
• Excellent communication to translate insights for all levels.
• Problem-solving excellence with unstructured data.
• Technical: Python/R/Scala; ML frameworks; SQL; cloud and big data tools.

• Lead, coach and grow a two-person data science team.
• Stay hands-on in delivery for the most complex projects.
• Plan, prioritise and manage the team's backlog and capacity.
• Translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Own the data science roadmap with leadership.
