Job summary

Vinçotte is seeking a Lead Contract Engineer (M/F/X) to join the Nuclear Pressure Equipment Team in Vilvoorde, Belgium. You will be the primary contact for customers, advising on construction and design of nuclear pressure equipment, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will manage projects from quotation to execution and invoicing, coordinate inspections, and serve as the go-to contact for site inspectors.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences – Electromechanics; Welding Engineer degree is a strong asset.
• Around five years of experience in maintenance/inspection of pressure equipment.
• Fluent Dutch or French and strong English skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Be the point of contact for customers and build trust with them.
• Provide tailored advice for the assessment of construction/design of nuclear pressure equipment per codes and standards.
• Maintain regular contact with customers and perform inspections.
• Follow up projects from quotation and design through to execution and invoicing.
• Act as the point of contact for site inspectors.

Function

As a Lead Contract Engineer (M/F/X), you will be the point of contact for our customers. You build a relationship of trust with the customer and provide tailored advice for the assessment of the construction/design of nuclear pressure equipment according to various construction codes and standards. You maintain regular contact with your customers and also carry out inspections yourself. You are responsible for following up projects from A to Z, from quotation and design through to actual execution and invoicing. In addition, you are also the point of contact for the inspectors on site.

Profile

• Degree: You have a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences – Electromechanics. A Welding Engineer degree is a strong asset.
• Experience: You preferably have around five years of experience in the maintenance/inspection of pressure equipment.
• Skills:
• You are eager to learn and keep up to date with trends and developments in your field.
• You have a sense of quality and an eye for detail.
• You show initiative and enjoy customer contact.
• You work independently and in a disciplined manner.
• You speak fluent Dutch or French and have a good knowledge of English (both written and spoken).
• You are communicative and entrepreneurial, with a sense of initiative and organization.
