OMP is seeking a Lead C++ Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver high-performance systems. This hands-on role blends deep technical coding with mentorship to create production-ready solutions.

You will drive quality, scalability, and observability while shaping test automation using AI-based frameworks and collaborating with product analysts. A strong background in C++, cloud (Azure), and leadership is essential.

Your challenge

As a lead c++ software engineer, you design, build, and deliver high-performance, scalable software systems. This is a hands-on role: you spend your time in the code, combining deep technical expertise with mentorship as you build and run production-ready solutions.

You Are Responsible For

• Designing and building scalable solutions with a strong focus on performance, maintainability, and cross-component integration.
• Taking ownership of delivery from design to production, and living "you build it, you run it", so your team owns what it ships and keeps it reliable in production.
• Staying hands-on in the code while keeping delivery on track: unblocking the team, holding the bar on quality, and mentoring fellow engineers.
• Challenging and refining requirements with product analysts to ensure clarity, feasibility, and delivery readiness.
• Owning technical correctness, including performance and scalability.
• You shift quality left and reimagine how QA is done, building AI-based testing frameworks that deliver strong automation and fast feedback so issues surface early. This covers the full range of testing: performance, load, spike, soak, and security testing.
• Building observability into the software as a core principle, so your team can run it with confidence and catch issues before customers do.

Your team

As a Lead C++ Software Engineer, you’ll join the software development team, as part of the Product Development organization. Product Development consists of specialized teams that focus on a specific domain such as demand and supply planning, user experience, data science, integration, solvers, and more. These teams drive our product road map, share OMP’s vision and expertise and create smart, robust, and scalable software solutions that solve our customers’ complex supply chain planning challenges.

About You

Essential talents and qualifications:

• A Lead C++ software engineer at heart with a strong quality and QA mindset. You shift quality left, build it in from the start, and take pride in what you ship.
• Around 10 years of work experience in a C++ software engineering role. If you have less, a strong drive to sharpen your C++ skills counts for a lot.
• You're energized by what AI brings to software engineering and keep pushing how far it can take your development, testing, and review.
• Excellent algorithmic and conceptual thinking, plus a generalist knowledge of technologies including cloud (Azure), and the curiosity to stay up to date.
• A strong mentor and team player with great communication skills and a positive attitude.
• A bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or similar, or the equivalent by experience.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Working experience with web applications and continuous integration testing (Docker Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, etc.).
• Expertise in specific quality areas like performance and security testing or test process improvement.
• A certificate in software testing (ISTQB, TMap, WAPT).
