Kemin ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance Team in Herentals, Belgium. You will own the complete accounting cycle for the Belgian entity, handle journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, and statutory filings while coordinating audits and liaising with tax advisors.

This role requires a strong background in Belgian GAAP, VAT, and statutory reporting, plus fluent Dutch and English.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a broad accounting role with full A-Z accounting responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven experience managing month-end close, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and annual accounts.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.

Aufgaben

• Own the complete accounting cycle for the Belgian entity.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and payroll-related entries.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, Intrastat declarations, and other statutory filings.
• Support corporate income tax reporting and annual statutory accounts.
• Ensure compliance with Belgian GAAP, internal controls, and Kemin policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.
• Review and analyze P&L and balance sheet accounts and provide financial insights.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, HR, and other partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate accounting processes.
• Support ad hoc reporting, projects, and business initiatives.
