Job summary

Imec in Belgium is offering a Master or PhD internship to develop a modular life-cycle assessment model for fabric infrastructure within imec.netzero. You will quantify environmental footprints of cleanroom buildings, HVAC, and utility systems per processed wafer, collaborating with sustainability and facility experts.

You will collect data, review studies, and implement calculations, gaining hands-on experience in LCA for large industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with life-cycle assessment is required.
• Familiarity with construction materials, building services, BIM, quantity take-offs, or environmental product declarations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing relevant studies, technical data, and available internal information.
• Preparing and checking the data used in the LCA.
• Building and running the LCA calculations.
• Analyzing the results and identifying the main environmental contributors.
• Supporting the implementation and testing of the model in imec.netzero
