Job summary

Imec invites Master or PhD students for a 6‑ to 12‑month internship to develop a modular life-cycle model for semiconductor process equipment and maintenance within imec.netzero. You will collaborate with sustainability, process-equipment, maintenance, procurement, and supplier specialists to collect data for the LCA and implement it across the equipment fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience with life-cycle assessment is required.
• Familiarity with semiconductor equipment, industrial machinery, bills of materials, maintenance, reliability engineering, or environmental product data is an advantage.
• Responsibilities include collecting data for the LCA, preparing and checking data, and supporting calculations.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing equipment studies, supplier documentation, specifications, maintenance records, and environmental data.
• Preparing and checking the data used in the LCA.
• Building and running the equipment and maintenance calculations.
• Analysing the results and identifying the main environmental contributors.
