Rock.estate is seeking a Junior Technical QA / Support Engineer to test workflows, investigate bugs, and help ensure a smooth user experience across our real-time valuation platform used by banks, insurers, and real-estate professionals.

Based in Belgium or able to work with a Belgium-based team, you will collaborate with engineers, product, and customer-facing teams in a hybrid role, using browser dev tools, bug reporting, and E2E testing to raise product quality.

Qualifications

• Test product flows and identify regressions before release.
• Reproduce, document, and triage bugs reported by users or internal teams.
• Investigate issues using the application, browser dev tools, logs, and code where relevant.
• Help determine whether a problem is frontend, backend, data, configuration, or user/process related.
• Support technical hotline/support work by gathering the right context before escalation.
• Write clear bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected behavior, actual behavior, screenshots/videos, and technical notes.

Rock.estateis looking for aJunior Technical QA / Support Engineerto help us test, investigate, and improve the applications used by banks, insurers, real-estate experts, and internal teams.

Rock.estateis a data science company specialised in the remote and real-time valuation of buildings on a country-wide scale. We combine geodata, AI, and machine learning techniques to help financial institutions understand the value and risks of real estate.

Multiple insurers and banks already use our solution to digitise their product offering with smoother customer journeys, while keeping strong risk management.

What you can expect

This is a hybrid role between QA, technical support, and product investigation. You will work closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.

You will:

• Test product flows and identify regressions before release.
• Reproduce, document, and triage bugs reported by users or internal teams.
• Investigate issues using the application, browser dev tools, logs, and code where relevant.
• Help determine whether a problem is frontend, backend, data, configuration, or user/process related.
• Support technical hotline/support work by gathering the right context before escalation.
• Write clear bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected behavior, actual behavior, screenshots/videos, and technical notes.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, DevOps, product, and customer-facing teams.
• Over time, help maintain or contribute to E2E tests as our QA automation setup evolves.
• Gradually build deep product knowledge and grow toward product, QA automation, frontend engineering, or technical support ownership depending on your strengths.

What we are looking for

You could be the person we are looking for if:

• You are based in Belgium/Brussels, or able to work closely with a Belgium-based team.
• You are proficient in English (French/Flemish is a plus)
• You are curious, structured, and persistent when investigating problems.
• You are comfortable using and investigating web applications.
• You understand browser dev tools such as the console, network tab, errors, and requests/responses — or you are strongly motivated to learn.
• You are able or willing to read frontend code to understand behavior.
• You can communicate clearly in writing, including documenting bugs, reproduction steps, and user-facing issues.
• You have good people skills and patience for support or hotline-style work.
• You are comfortable switching between investigation, testing, support, and coordination.
• You enjoy working close to both users and engineers.
• You are not afraid of unclear problems, follow-up questions, or practical troubleshooting.

Nice to have

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• QA, bug reporting, product support, or technical customer support.
• JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, HTML, CSS, or another web stack.
• Cypress or other E2E testing tools.
• GitHub or issue trackers.
• Logs, APIs, browser network requests, or basic debugging workflows.
• Side projects, scripts, websites, automations, or other technical hobbies.
• Real estate, data, maps, product operations, FinTech, InsurTech, PropTech, GIS, or data-heavy products.
• Internship-to-hire, school project, or early-career practical technical experience.
