Swift is seeking developers to join its team in a role focused on secure, mission-critical financial systems. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of high-availability software, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs.

A strong foundation in software design and teamwork is essential. The position emphasizes modern tech stacks, UNIX background, and exposure to payment infrastructure within a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is an asset.
• Initial experience in Java development (Java 8 or higher) through internships, projects, or early roles.
• Basic understanding of unit testing and automation practices.
• Familiarity with fundamental software design principles.
• Desire to learn and apply new technologies; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Participate in design and development of secure, mission-critical, and highly resilient financial systems.
• Participate in testing from automated unit tests to automated system tests.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Contribute to technical analysis and feasibility assessments of proposed solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Support delivered software and assist with troubleshooting within the team.

Market Infrastructures (MI) are key SWIFT customers and critical service providers at the heart of the global financial ecosystem. Within this domain, our tribe designs, builds, and operates the messaging and connectivity services that underpin trusted financial transactions worldwide, leveraging core platforms such as FIN and SwiftNet.

What To Expect

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development of secure, mission critical and highly resilient financial systems
• Participate in the testing, from automated unit tests to automated system tests
• Analysis of technical and functional requirements and translate them into software solutions
• Contribute to technical analysis and feasibility assessments of proposed solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Support the delivered software and contribute to problem-solving activities within the team

What will make you successful?

Education

University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree is an asset.

Technical Skills

• Initial experience in Java development (Java 8 or higher) through internships, academic projects, or early professional roles
• Basic understanding of unit testing and automation practices
• Familiarity with fundamental software design principles

We will be delighted if you have experience with any of the following

• Experience with the Spring Boot applications framework is a plus
• Familiar with JPA, Hibernate
• Knowledge of Angular and other front-end technologies is a big asset
• Experience with building REST APIs
• Familiar with UNIX operating system, preferably RHEL
• Knowledge of security technologies
