Zusammenfassung

imec.xpand, based in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking a Junior Investment Professional to help identify deeptech startups and support due diligence. You will analyse markets, technology and business plans, support ESG assessments, and help prepare reports for Partners and the Supervisory Board.

You will travel as needed, represent the firm at industry events, and contribute to deal flow, marketing, and process improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on, can-do attitude and proactive problem-solving.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyse technology, markets and business plans.
• Ability to build and maintain networks and generate deal flow.
• Fluency in English; other languages a plus.

As an Junior Investment Professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of DeepTech ventures:

• You actively scout, analyze, and track the most promising start-ups and technologies worldwide.
• You work side by side with Partners and Principals in all aspects of due diligence, from market to finance to technical deep-dives and team analysis.
• You explore new frontiers by delivering sharp sector insights and actionable market intelligence.
• You contribute to marketing, conference planning, deal flow monitoring, ESG assessments, audits, financial and Supervisory Board reporting, and process optimization.
• You represent imec.xpand at key industry events, building visibility and credibility in the ecosystem.

Your Background

• A Master’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a closely related technology field.
• Maximum of 3 years of work experience.
• A strong affinity for venture capital.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for innovation.
