Ernst & Young (EY) is seeking a Junior Immigration Consultant for our Diegem office. You will support international moves and the immigration process, guiding clients and expats through Belgian regulations.

You will work with our client teams, authorities, and offshore staff to manage files and ensure compliant outcomes. You will learn about all aspects of Immigration Law, contribute to knowledge management, and embrace AI-enabled approaches to increase efficiency and deliver value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in a relevant field, preferably legal.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and French and Dutch.
• Willing to start in September 2027 and adapt to immigration practice.

Responsabilités

• Be the client team’s contact point with clients, expats, authorities and stakeholders.
• Advise clients on immigration routes and their business impact.
• Prepare and follow up on client files (work permit, single permit, visa, residence permit).
• Assess files, guide expats through the Belgian immigration process, and liaise with authorities.
• Assist in knowledge management and draft local and global updates on legislation changes.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to support research, analyze data and deliver innovative solutions.

For our People Advisory Compliance Center we are currently looking for a Junior Immigration Consultant for our office in Diegem.

Your Key Responsibilities

• You will be an intrinsic part of the client team and will be in the forefront of communication with clients, expats, authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Together with the client team, you will advise our clients on the best available immigration route and the impact thereof on their business.
• Together with our offshore team, you will be responsible to prepare and follow up on a number of client files (work permit, single permit, visa, residence permit, etc.)
• You will learn to make the proper assessment, prepare your files and follow up on these files with the competent authorities. In doing so, you will guide the client and their expat population through the Belgian immigration process.
• You will assist in knowledge management and co-author local and global communication in regards to legislative changes and other updates. You will also be expected to proactively follow up on relevant legislative changes.
• You will leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to support research, analyze data, increase efficiency and deliver innovative solutions to clients.

Your Profile

• You completed or will complete a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant study field, preferably a legal study field;
• You are fluent in English (written and oral communication skills), in French and Dutch;
• You are well organized, precise and you can prioritize where needed;
• You are client minded and a real team player;
• You like to communicate and are not afraid to be in contact with the authorities and at a later stage, with the clients;
• You don’t shy away from responsibility and a challenge;
• You are inquisitive and continuously try to improve your skills and knowledge;
• You have a strong affinity with AI and genuine interest in applying new AI trends in a professional context;
• You are able to start in September 2027.
