AECOM is seeking a motivated environmental/health and safety professional to provide EHS advisory support for a client project in Belgium. The junior-mid EHS Consultant will assist in drafting procedures, maintaining legal registers, risk assessments and permit applications for the governmental client in the Mons/Bergen region.

You will liaise with authorities and participate in audits. Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's in EHS or related field, plus 0-3 years of experience and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety Management, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Diploma as environmental coordinator (level A/B) or Prevention Advisor (Level 1/2) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of management systems (ISO 14001/ISO 45001 is a plus).
• 0-3 years of experience in EHS consulting or related fields; internships valued.
• Basic understanding of Belgian EHS regulations and permitting processes.
• Strong communicator in English and Dutch/French; good interpersonal skills; resilient and eager to learn.

Responsabilités

• Assist senior/mid EHS Consultants in operational management; draft/implement EHS procedures.
• Develop and maintain EHS legal registers; conduct risk assessments; support management systems.
• Prepare and submit environmental permit applications; liaise with local authorities and stakeholders.
• Participate in EHS compliance audits; prepare audit reports and action plans.
