Description du poste

About Merchery

Merchery is born in 2020 from the simple observation that corporate gifts and promotional products are most of the time low quality. This billion $ market is shady, and often made of products people throw away after two weeks. Our vision at Merchery is to offer beautiful, useful, and carefully sourced products that people actually want. To support our ongoing mission and current growth pace, we’re looking for a Content Marketer to help support our Markcom team efforts.

The Role

As our CRM & Website Content Marketer, you'll own two things: producing all email communications to our database, and managing our website content. Our CRM and CMS will be the backbones of your work, while you focus on turning our expertise into things people actually read and connect with.

This is a generalist role in which you'll work directly with our Content & Growth Managers. You'll deliver content that aligns with our overarching lifecycle strategy, answering questions like: Which message, to which person, and when? How do we make this story something that drives clicks? You’ll research, write, produce and ship - drafting beautifully designed emails, blog posts and web pages with compelling copy, shaping the HubSpot workflows that support our strategy, and A/B testing key components for constant optimisation.

This role sits at the crossroads of Sales, Marketing and Product, and therefore involves a lot of collaboration. It's data-centric, demanding in execution, calls for an eye for design, and is pivotal to many teams.

Note that the scope of this role will grow as we do - what it looks like in year two may look very different from day one.

Responsibilities

Emailing

  • Map and create email campaigns for both acquisition and retention
  • Execute the newsletter strategy based on region, demographics and a contacts' lifecycle stages
  • Write, design and translate our all our email materials
  • Monitor product updates and weave them into our comms: new launches, seasonal trends, region-specific best-sellers and more
  • Incorporate creative feedback and collaborate hand in hand with our Content Manager on design and the comms/content calendar
  • Have a full grip on CRM management: workflows, lists, properties, templates and more
  • Run A/B tests across the most important components to optimise the setup and continuously refine CTAs, messaging, timing and formats
  • Own email deliverability, domain health and overall database hygiene in our CRM

Website content

  • Manage ongoing content updates across webpages - mostly editing existing materials, but also producing new on-brand content for any new landing, customer case, or category page
  • Be the owner of our website localisation: translating and adapting content for our main regions
  • Align content with our SEO strategy, using the right keywords for performance while making it work for our brand for all languages
  • Spot-check merchery.co for errors and inconsistencies
  • Coordinate with Content and Growth to produce new blog articles that grow our organic audience
About you

Experience

  • A Master's degree in Business, Management, Communications, PR, Languages, or any other relevant subject

Skillset

  • Knowledge and experience in CRM tools (such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Attio)
  • Hands-on experience with a web CMS
  • Concepts like lifecycle stages, customer journeys, segmentation and retention mechanics aren't new to you
  • Good grasp of channel-specific best practices, including web storytelling, email marketing, newsletter content and audience segmentation
  • A proven track record executing high-value leadgen campaigns and delivering results
  • You genuinely enjoy writing and do it well, with the ability to make any topic useful and engaging
  • Fluent in English and at least one of the following: German, French, Dutch or Spanish

Mindset

  • Proactive: you love taking the lead on a topic and making it your job to bring it to the next level
  • Hands-on-keyboard, you like making things happen yourself
  • Strongly collaborative, used to working across teams with different backgrounds
  • An eye for design and a love of being creative
  • Great taste and judgment: you know good from bad, and you'll say so
  • Tech-savvy: you enjoy discovering new tools, automations and playing around with AI

We are still an early stage project, and really want to create the ideal working environment. Our commitment to your well-being extends beyond the workplace. We regularly organise exciting activities and team-building events to foster a vibrant and collaborative company culture.
