Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a Junior Credit Analyst in Brussels to join the growing credit team. You will assess new corporate lending deals before presenting them to the management committee.

Responsibilities include reviewing loans from a credit perspective, drafting concise credit papers with recommendations, querying deal teams, and monitoring the loan book for deterioration. English proficiency required; French or Dutch is a bonus.

Qualifications

• A degree in finance, economics or a related subject.
• 1–3 years' experience in credit analysis or corporate lending.
• Confidence reading financial statements and assessing cash flow and leverage.
• Working knowledge of loan documentation and covenants.
• Strong written and spoken English; French or Dutch is a bonus.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review proposed loans from a credit perspective, examining the borrower, cash flows, structure and key documentation.
• Write clear, balanced credit papers with a firm recommendation.
• Ask the right questions of the deal teams and set conditions where needed.
• Work with Risk, Compliance, Treasury and Operations to keep deals moving.
• Monitor the existing loan book and flag early signs of deterioration.
