Dries Van Noten founded his eponymous brand in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1986. He is widely recognised for his distinctive approach to craft, combining refined tailoring with bold eclecticism. Today, Dries Van Noten collections are available in stores across Europe, the United States, and Asia, as well as through a global network of wholesale partners, and online. The brand has recently expanded into beauty and fragrance, complementing its ready-to-wear and accessories collections. In December 2024, Julian Klausner was appointed Creative Director. Mission

This role reports to the Finance Director and provides accurate and timely financial information to support operational decision-making and contribute to achieving the company’s revenue and profit targets.

As Junior Business controller, you ensure robust financial control, closely monitor business performance, and drive the continuous improvement of financial processes.

Responsibilities

• You will play a key role in the annual budgeting preparation and internal planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Administer, review and consolidate financial plans, budgets and forecasts. Monitor deviations and develop corrective or contingency actions where required.
• Prepare the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Analyze monthly P&L variances against budget and prior year, clearly highlighting risks and opportunities against Full Year Targets.
• Maintain tight control over fashion margin, staff costs, operating expenses by department, working capital and CAPEX follow-up.
• Deliver accurate and timely periodic reporting to local management and HQ, ensuring compliance with internal standards and local/international regulations.
• Provide structured financial analysis and business insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Partner cross-functionally with Business Managers and department heads to optimize performance and maximize P&L outcomes.
• Build and assess the financial impact of new initiatives, investments and strategic decisions.
• Assist management with the preparation of financial presentations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools and analytics architecture in line with business evolution and HQ requirements.
• Assist HQ Finance department (G/L, A/P, A/R and Payroll) in daily operations.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal control requirements from HQ across departments.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accuracy of financial information.
• Conduct finance onboarding for new hires and provide P&L training where required.
