Soleras Advanced Coatings is seeking a Master’s level automation specialist to lead PLC control and SCADA programming for sputter hardware and target machines. You will coordinate automation timelines with the project manager and perform final inspections before shipment.

You will also support upgrades and service work at customer sites, selecting PLC and network components with the electrical engineer and project manager. Fluency in English and Dutch is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrotechnics with automation focus.
• Extensive interest in PLC machine control and programming.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Affinitiy with IT programming languages (.NET, C++, C#, SQL).
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken).

What to expect of the job?

• You are responsible for PLC machine control and SCADA programming for new Sputter Hardware and Sputter Targets machines. This includes aligning the installation schedule related to automation with the project manager.
• You program according the functional description of the machine.
• You handle the functional final inspection before shipment of the goods to be installed.
• You assist with upgrades and service interventions for machines at customer sites.
• You determine the PLC and network components in consultation with the electrical engineer and project manager.

Who are we looking for?

• You hold a master’s degree in electrotechnics - automation or a similar field with a focus on automation/electricity.
• You have extensive interest in PLC machine control and programming
• You can read and understand electrical schematics.
• Affinity with IT programming languages (.NET, C++, C#, SQL,…) is a plus.
• You are capable of setting priorities and can work independently without losing team spirit.
• You have a hands-on personality and a commercial/customer-oriented mindset.
• You are willing to travel internationally (up to 30%).
• You are fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
