TechWolf is seeking a Junior AI Engineer in Belgium to join our AI team. You will work close to product and customers, turning ideas into production AI features using Transformers, PyTorch, and LLMs.

You’ll gain hands-on learning through mentorship, ship real features, and explore new models weekly. You will develop Python services (FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes) and collaborate with Product and customer teams to understand problems before building solutions.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated or nearing graduation in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Experience with ML/LLMs through academic, internship, or side projects.
• Solid Python coding, Git workflow, and testing practices.
• You care about user impact and asking why before how.

Responsabilités

• Model development to improve skills inference from worker data using Transformers, PyTorch and LLMs.
• Develop agent features with LLMs and modern SDKs, from prototype to production.
• Create evaluation sets and offline tests to measure feature improvements.
• Experiment with new models and prompts and share findings.
• Package work as Python services (FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes) on AWS.
• Collaborate with Product and customer-facing teams to define problems.

As a Junior AI Engineer, you'll learn how to turn an idea into an AI feature that customers use every day. Our AI team works close to the product and close to our customers: we experiment quickly, measure carefully and ship what works. Here's what you can expect:

What you'll do

• Model Development: Help improve the models and pipelines that infer skills from the work people actually do, using Transformers, PyTorch and LLMs, and measure whether each change makes our inference more accurate.

• Agent Engineering: Help build agentic features with LLMs (AWS Bedrock) and modern agent SDKs, from first prototype to production.

• Evaluation: Build eval sets and offline evaluations that show whether a change actually makes a feature better, and learn to read the signals from production.

• Experimentation: Try new models, prompts and approaches, and share what you learn, including what didn't work.

• Productization: Ship your work as tested, observable Python services (FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes) in AWS.

• Product & Customer Focus: Work with Product and customer-facing colleagues to understand the problem before building the solution.

Who you are

• You're a (soon-to-be) graduate, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering, or you have up to 2 years of experience.

• You've built something with LLMs or ML, such as a thesis, internship, side project or hackathon, and you can tell us what worked and what didn't.

• You write solid Python and are comfortable with git and writing tests.

• You care about the people who use what you build, and you ask "why" before "how".

• You're curious, you enjoy experimenting, and you learn fast.

• You exhibit excellent communication and teamwork.

• You're passionate about impactful AI, fairness and transparency.

• You already work AI-first: coding agents and AI assistants are a natural part of how you build, learn and solve problems.

• You're based in Belgium and excited to work together with the TechWolf team in our Ghent office at least three days per week.
