Showpad in Ghent is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience with daily cash reconciliations, high-volume accounts payable, and expense management as you kickstart your accounting career.

You will support the senior team with month-end close, learn new accounting software, and develop skills in data entry, accuracy, and collaboration with internal departments and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fast and accurate data entry with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to learn new accounting software quickly.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to work with internal teams and vendors.

Responsabilités

• Process high-volume AP: enter and process at least 60 invoices per day.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Track, verify, and reconcile corporate credit card expenses.
• Maintain organized financial records and support filing.
• Assist senior team with month-end close and special projects.

About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an ideal entry-level position for a recent university graduate looking to kickstart their career in accounting. In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience by managing daily cash reconciliations, handling credit card expenses, and maintaining a high volume of accounts payable transactions.

What you will be doing

• High‑Volume Accounts Payable: Accurately enter and process a minimum of 60 A/P invoices per day into our accounting system.
• Cash Reconciliations: Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure all bank statements match internal ledgers.
• Credit Card Management: Track, verify, and reconcile corporate credit card expenses and receipts.
• Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain organized financial records and assist with digital filing.
• Team Support: Assist the senior accounting team with month‑end closing procedures and special projects as needed.

What we are looking for

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Data Accuracy: Fast and accurate data entry skills with a strong eye for detail (crucial for managing high‑volume invoicing).
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, basic formulas) and a quick ability to learn new accounting software.
• Soft Skills: Strong time‑management skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
