HumanInTech is seeking a Java software engineer for a critical migration project with a public-sector client. You will join a specialist team to transfer registry data between systems, exclusively on this initiative, using Spring Boot, Hibernate and JSF2.

The role requires 5+ years of Java experience, solid Spring/Spring Batch skills, REST/SOAP knowledge and a mix of Oracle/PostgreSQL experience. Based in Charleroi with hybrid work and 1 Jan 2027 start.

What you will do

You will join a team working on a critical migration project for a public-sector organisation. The project involves transferring registry data between systems, and you will be exclusively assigned to this initiative.

Your work will include:

• Developing and maintaining Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring Batch
• Working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate
• Building and consuming web services (REST, SOAP)
• Writing unit tests with JUnit, PowerMock and Mockito
• Contributing to web client technologies using JSF2 and PrimeFaces
• Deploying and supporting applications on middleware platforms (WebLogic, OpenShift)
• Using development tools including IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory and Kibana

The project is already underway, and your role will continue through the launch phase and a subsequent hypercare period of at least three months. The exact end date depends on the project timeline, which is reviewed monthly, but the assignment may run until the end of 2027.

The setting
