Aikido Security in Belgium is seeking a Java developer to join an entrepreneurial team building modular, high-availability software and driving real impact.

You’ll write clean, testable Java code, design scalable services, and contribute to architecture decisions while learning new languages as the product requires. High ownership and fast shipping are core values.

Qualifications

• Strong Java experience and backend development skills.
• Experience with high-availability systems preferred.
• Ability to work in an autonomous, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsabilités

• Write modular, testable, and efficient code using Java (and other languages).
• Design and implement high-availability applications.
• Discover, plan, write, document and maintain new features.
• Understand the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Understand the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
• Optimize the product code for speed where required.
• Really comfortable in a very entrepreneurial environment.
• Can think along with architectural and impactful decisions.
• Willing to learn new languages when the product requires it.
• Research and tackle hard problems and algorithms (e.g., parsing with ASTs).
• Willing to experiment (and also willing to perhaps throw away some code).
• Medior to Senior: hit the ground running with us.
• No stranger to implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

As a Java developer, you'll be working closely with the Aikido team.

Responsibilities:

Write modular, testable, and efficient code using Java (and other languages)

Design and implement high-availability applications

Discover, plan, write, document and maintain new features

You need to be comfortable with the above mentioned languages and tech-stack.

No stranger to implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

Candidates must be located in or able to work within CEST timezone.
