Rhox is seeking a senior IT Tech Lead Developer to guide backend development and integrations across a complex enterprise application landscape. You will balance hands-on coding with technical direction, driving architecture decisions and ensuring delivery quality.

You will lead the team through Java 8, Spring 4, Spring Boot, Kafka and Flink, while promoting secure, scalable and observable systems. Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of relevant experience in a controlled enterprise environment.
• Experience as a technical lead or reference in Agile software delivery.
• Strong Java 8, Spring 4/Boot skills with REST APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, SQL and Java database access.
• Familiar with Maven, Jenkins, Git and automated testing practices.

We're looking for a senior IT Tech Lead Developer to guide backend development and integrations, combining hands‑on coding with technical direction across a complex enterprise application landscape. The work centres on Java 8, Spring 4, Spring Boot, Kafka and Flink.

What you'll do:

• Set technical direction and guide design decisions across the delivery team.
• Align developers with architecture, security and operational expectations.
• Surface dependencies, technical risks and debt, then drive follow-up.
• Strengthen code quality through reviews, automated tests and shared practices.
• Contribute to complex Java work while overseeing the complete solution.
• Support production incidents and improve release readiness and stability.

What you bring:

• At least six years' relevant experience, including senior hands‑on engineering in a controlled enterprise environment.
• Experience as a technical lead or reference in Agile software delivery, coordinating with architecture, security and operations.
• Strong Java 8, Spring 4 and Spring Boot skills, with backend applications, REST APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, SQL and Java database access.
• Maven, Jenkins and Git, plus automated testing with JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkin and WireMock.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, middleware, infrastructure dependencies and operational constraints.
• Knowledge of secure development, code quality, production support, technical design, code review, testing and release readiness.
• Clear communication, sound judgement and the ability to guide experienced developers and improve practices under delivery pressure.
• English (C1), Dutch (B2) and French (B2).
• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering or computer science, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have:

• Lombok, HttpEntity/ResponseEntity, Groovy scripting for Jenkins pipelines, IntelliJ or Octane.
• Experience integrating distributed, mainframe and infrastructure components, or improving observability, performance, resilience or production stability.
• Practical Scrum experience, relevant technical, architecture, security or Agile certifications, or experience in regulated environments.

• No regular travel is expected.
