IT Service & Application Owner for 14 non-platform applications within the financial and legal domain

ROLE

The IT Service Manager & Application Owner will be responsible for managing and supporting 14 non-platform applications within the financial and legal domains. This role combines service management responsibilities with application ownership, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and effective collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the day-to-day IT service operations of the non-platform solution, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
• Oversee the lifecycle and performance of 14 non-platform applications in financial and legal areas supported by technical (offshore/3rd party) support teams.
• Ensure adherence to IT service management best practices and ECS departmental standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date application information in the CMDB (ServiceNow) solution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for service-related escalations and issue resolution.
• Responsible for handover process from “project mode” (development/migration phase) to “support mode” (maintenance/operational phase) that ensures the support team has the necessary documentation, access and knowledge to maintain the system.
• Oversee and implement IT projects, such as system upgrades, network expansions, and software rollouts.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve IT service performance, reduce downtime, and manage costs.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate effective communication between IT, software providers and other departments.
• Monitor performance metrics, manage service and license contracts, and ensure all requests are handled within deadlines.
• Stay current with new IT technologies and trends, and report on this information to the Finance Business Area Lead.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

• Experience in overseeing the lifecycle and performance of 10+ non-platform applications in financial and legal areas supported by technical (offshore/3rd party) support teams.
• Experience in acting as the primary point of contact for service-related escalations and issue resolution.
• Experience in being responsible for handover process from “project mode” (development/migration phase) to “support mode” (maintenance/operational phase) that ensures the support team has the necessary documentation, access and knowledge to maintain the system.
• Experience in overseeing and implement IT projects, such as system upgrades, network expansions, and software rollouts.

• Knowledge of financial and legal application landscapes is an advantage. Also knowledge of SAP FI/CO is a plus.

CONFORMITY CRITERIA

• 5 years Proven experience in IT service management and application ownership.
• Proven experience with offshore/3rd party support model.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate license agreements.
• You speak Dutch + French and English fluently.
• You can work on shore with a 2-3 day per week on site presence.
