Job summary

Athora Belgium's Investment Office seeks an Investment Analyst to support the execution of the investment strategy and contribute to portfolio oversight. You will analyse opportunities, monitor risk, and collaborate with internal teams and global partners.

With 3–5 years in investment banking, institutional investing or portfolio management, you will work on ALM, private assets and liquidity management, using Bloomberg and market data to drive insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, institutional investing or portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, products and derivatives.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French a plus.
• Experience using Bloomberg or similar market databases.
• Interest in ALM and Private Market investments (Private Credit/Equity, Infra, Real Assets).
• Analytical, structured, detail-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships with internal/external stakeholders, including Apollo Global Asset Management.
• Willingness to pursue CFA/CAIA/VBA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Preparing investment analyses, recommendations and presentations for ALCO and senior stakeholders.
• Monitoring portfolio performance, risk metrics and compliance with mandates and asset allocation.
• Supporting portfolio construction, strategic asset allocation reviews and scenario analyses.
• Due diligence on funds, strategies and external asset managers.
• Monitoring markets and translating findings into actionable insights.
• Assessing private market investments (Private Credit, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Assets).
• Supporting ALM analyses to align investment strategy with liabilities.
• Collaborating with Risk, Finance, Actuarial, Legal and Operations.
• Maintaining relationships with external asset managers and market participants.
• Optimising investment processes, reporting frameworks and analytics through data/digital tools.
