Cegeka invites motivated students to join its Vulnerability & Compliance Management team in Hasselt for an internship in cybersecurity. You’ll gain hands-on experience in vulnerability management, work with experienced SOC engineers, and contribute to automations that improve efficiency and scalability.

You will design SQL queries and help develop dashboards and reports that inform internal and customer decisions, while learning about MSSP operations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Applied Computer Science or a Master's in Computer Science.

Responsabilités

• Assist in vulnerability management initiatives within the SOC team.
• Design, build and test SQL queries to support dashboards and reports.

Internship - Vulnerability Management Engineer

Do you want to contribute to improving processes that help organizations become more resilient to vulnerabilities and remain compliant with strict standards? Then this internship opportunity with Cegeka’s Vulnerability & Compliance Management team is exactly what you're looking for!As a member of the Vulnerability & Compliance Management team, you will help further develop and expand solutions that make SOC operations more efficient — with automation being a key focus.

• You gain insight into the current health check scenarios within our Vulnerability & Compliance Management team
• You actively identify improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of our services
• You design SQL queries, build and test them to support dashboards and reports that help customers and internal stakeholders make informed decisions
• You collaborate with experienced SOC engineers in a Scrum and Kanban work environment, giving you first‑hand exposure to the real‑world challenges of a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP)
• You assist in improving workflows and automations, aiming to make our vulnerability management processes faster, more consistent and scalable
• You conduct research into new technologies and tools that can provide better insights, more efficient reporting, or smarter integrations with existing systems.

• Are you currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Applied Computer Science or a Master's in Computer Science? Check!
