Forvis Mazars seeks an accounting intern to join the Accountancy team in our Ghent office. You will assist with daily bookkeeping, client inquiries, and supporting closing processes under supervision.

The role offers hands-on exposure to financial statements and VAT filings in a dynamic environment. You will work with senior accountants, contribute to client deliverables, and develop practical accounting skills while learning the firm’s procedures and standards.

Competenze

• Master’s or bachelor’s student in (Applied) Economics, Accountancy, or related field.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Preferably available from February 2027.
• Highly motivated and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Support the team with the daily accounting of client files, including booking purchase and sales invoices, financial transactions, and assisting with reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing information and draft responses to client questions related to accounting matters, under supervision of senior accountants.
• Contribute to internal discussions by performing research and preparing background information for specific accounting cases.
• Support the preparation of interim closings and year-end files by organizing documents, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the draft preparation of annual financial statements.
• Assist with reporting tasks and help prepare draft VAT returns and other periodic filings under guidance.

We are currently looking for an intern to be part of our Accountancy team! The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Accountancy team and will collaborate with senior members of this team in our Ghent office.
