FTI Consulting Brussels is seeking interns to join our growing team for a 6-month internship, providing support across client accounts and day-to-day operations.

As an Intern, you will work with senior colleagues, help develop new business opportunities, and gain exposure to strategic communications across financial, corporate and public affairs sectors in Europe.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree required; fields in political science, international relations, EU policy, journalism or law are a plus.
• Proven interest in politics, public affairs, advocacy, issues and reputation management.
• Excellent English with additional European languages preferable.

About The Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.

FTI Consulting Brussels is looking for interns to join our growing team. If you are looking to work in a dynamic and thriving sector team that crosses multiple issues, then this is the position for you. We are providing a 6 months internship with great support.

As an Intern, you will work on different client accounts, support senior colleagues in building new business opportunities and be involved in general day‑to‑day support of operations.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver to clients: Monitor institutional and regulatory developments for client files; draft reports and provide analysis on policy developments; write reports on research, both on general and specific subjects.
• Build the business: Help develop practice and wider marketing initiatives to positively position the firm and practice in the market; drive client programmes forward with day‑to‑day support of operations.
• Team involvement: Work alongside senior colleagues on building development activities such as pitch preparation and delivery; manage client projects and accounts and actively drive the business forward.
• Networking: build connections in the industry through networks with EU contacts and stakeholders as well as potential clients.

How You’ll Grow

You will have the opportunity to work in some of the most challenging and fascinating public policy issues currently being tackled in Europe, advising a broad range of clients in the Healthcare and Life Science, Financial Services, Energy or Legal services sector. You will be part of a dynamic and multinational team of experts based in Brussels and you will be able to work closely with our international professionals in strategic communications, economics, corporate finance, forensic litigation consulting and technology. Basic Qualifications

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree required. Studies in the fields of political science, international relations, EU policy, journalism, law or related areas are a plus.
• Proven skills and/or interest in politics, public affairs, advocacy, issues and reputation management.
• Excellent English with one or two additional European languages preferable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding and experience of working with policymakers and stakeholders in Brussels and in national capitals to further strategic objectives.
• Previous EU institutions or Financial Services related experience would be a plus.
• Strong sector knowledge, regulation and policy discussions.
• Experience in‑house, in a trade body, in a public institution, or advising clients on policy and communications issues.
• Strong research, analytical and writing skills with a focus on detail and delivery.
• Good organisation and presentation skills with a keenness for client and project management.
• Ability to digest and summarise information to key internal and external stakeholders.
• Great team spirit and determination.
• Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s).
