FTI Consulting, based in Brussels, is seeking a public affairs consultant to guide clients in the TMT sector through complex policy issues. You'll work on creating relationships with policymakers and stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.

This role offers the chance to engage in significant client accounts and expand your expertise in public affairs, while collaborating with a dynamic multinational team. Fluency in English and additional languages are a plus.

About The Role

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will be a member of a team of experts who advise a broad range of clients in TMT on how to navigate a plethora of public policy and communications challenges, in Brussels and in national capitals, as well as internationally. We help our clients create sustainable relationships with policy makers, interest groups, industry and the media.

How You’ll Grow

You will have the opportunity to work in some of the most challenging and fascinating public policy issues currently being tackled in Europe in TMT. You will have the opportunity to lead or take a leading role in a range of substantial client accounts and business development projects, expanding your strategic acumen and commercial drive and skillset. You will be part of a dynamic and multinational team of experts based in Brussels and you will be able to work closely with other FTI offices and segments – expanding your personal insight and contacts within our global network, covering the full suite of business and management consulting professionals.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong academic background
• With some experience in a consultancy, in-house, trade body, public institution or advising clients on policy and communications issues.
• Proven skills in public affairs, advocacy, issues and reputation management within TMT policy.
• Excellent understanding and experience of working with policymakers and stakeholders in Brussels and in national capitals to develop strategic objectives, and strong knowledge of the TMT sector regulation and policy discussions.
• Excellent English with one or two additional languages preferable.
