Job summary

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Bruxelles is seeking a trainee to support communication, visibility and monitoring activities within the GG ICR Facility. You will gather data, translate findings into engaging stories, and help design communication materials.

You will work with C&V and M&E experts to prepare notes, analyses and presentations, contribute to digital outreach, and assist in meetings and workshops while collaborating in a small team.

Qualifications

• Studying economics, political or social sciences or recently completed within the last six months.
• Experience in development cooperation (internships/voluntary work) is a plus.
• Understanding sustainable and inclusive economic development concepts is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills for engaging external stakeholders and coordinating events.
• Some practical experience in M&E, data processing or visualization is useful.

Responsibilities

• Support communication and visibility activities on social media and the website.
• Assist in creating information materials (videos, publications, newsletters, flyers).
• Support M&E activities including data collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting.
• Contribute to design, development and implementation of results-based monitoring.
• Prepare overviews and presentations related to M&E.
• Research notes on Global Gateway Strategy and its links to Business Environment Reform and Investment Climate.
• Prepare, run and document online meetings and workshops.
• Support other day-to-day project activities as needed.
